The Edmond Cup is a Teams Race which has been run for over a Century.  The cup was donated in 1907 by Mr. Edmond who was a member of the now obsolete Otago Harrier Club.  The event has been run from several locations including Tahuna Park & Wingatui Racecourse.  For 2023 the event will be held at a new venue; The Otakou Golf Club on the Otago Peninsula.

There will be 4 km, 6 km and 8 km  races for Open Men & Open Women (U18/U20, Senior & Masters), with all athletes starting together. Separate results (including team’s races) for Men and Women will be declared. The first four Athletics New Zealand registered competitive runners from the same club to finish shall count for the team’s races.

Community Runners are welcome to enter but are not eligable for club team placings.

There will be an open 6km walk. The walk is not judged but all entrants are expected to walk the entire distance. Running, if observed, may lead to disqualification.  The first four members from the same club will count for the team’s race.
