Most athletes who have competed in Track & Field in recent years already have an existing AthleticNet profile containing their previous results from New Zealand, centre, and school athletic meetings. Claiming your profile video

If you have multiple profiles from different events, clubs, centres, or schools, they can be merged into a single profile – Combining Profiles video

It is recommended to set up an account, add children, or combine profiles using a laptop, tablet, or PC. Once your account is created, event entry can be completed using a mobile device.

Entering Events

  • Log in to your account and locate the relevant event in your calendar, or search for it if not listed.
  • Click 'Register' and select the events you wish to enter.
  • The system may request seed times and distances. Over time, these will auto-populate based on your results. Seed times are required only for sprint races, but entry without them is permitted. They help allocate heats for the 60m, 100m, 200m, and 400m races.

*Children in Grades 12, 13, and 14 entering Senior Interclub events that are designated as Children's Combined Meets should use the Grade 12–14 category for a fee waiver (no entry fees). These entries will then be included in seeded events alongside other athletes. *

*Masters Grades will be split up into their 5-year age grades after entries have closed. *

Parents & Caregivers

All athletes under 13 must be linked to an AthleticNet account held by a parent, caregiver, or trusted adult. Through this account, athletes under 13 must register for meetings and enter events; the adult account holder is responsible for entries and payments (if required). Older children may also be linked to an adult account if preferred. Adding Athletes to a Parents/Caregiver Profile video

Children’s Interclub Meets (Otago Children's Athletics Facebook)

Entry is not required for weekly Children’s Interclub's. Athletes are automatically entered each week for field events, while track event participants are manually registered at the start line. Weekly Children’s Interclub events will appear in the calendar for result recording purposes only. Entry for the Children’s Championships in March 2026 will be made using the AthleticNet system.
